Guests consistently praise the Hornblower at The Admirals House for its stunning harbour views, comfortable amenities, and prime location for dining and coastal walks. The host, Deb, is commended for excellent communication and friendliness. While parking is noted as a challenge, the property's charm and convenience for exploring Ilfracombe and the surrounding area make it a favoured choice for a delightful stay.
There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score for this category.
The location is highly praised for its fantastic harbour views, proximity to local eateries, and direct access to the South West Coast Path, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore Ilfracombe and enjoy the scenery.
Guests find the stay very comfortable, with mentions of a cosy window seat and the property providing everything needed for a pleasant stay. The only minor drawback mentioned is the number of stairs, which may be a consideration for some.
While guests mention amenities and local restaurants, there is insufficient detail on the property's facilities and maintenance to provide a score.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so this score cannot be provided. However, the host's willingness to offer a later check-out and the provision of local recommendations suggest a considerate approach.

We had a lovely weekend staying in Hornblower at The Admirals House. Excellent communication with Deb, easy to check in & she kindly let us know we could have a later check out, which was lovely. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Fantastic harbour views, lots of lovely places to eat or get a takeaway right on the doorstep. Plenty of local recommendations which was very good. Right on the South West Coast Path so lots of fantastic walking from the doorstep, along with good bus connections to get back, so no need to use the car for the weekend.

What a. wonderful setting for a holiday with views to die for ! The property is steeped in history and in the best of locations . The only draw back is the appalling parking in the area .£16 a day and you need to be down to your car by 8am to add another ticket ,you can buy a £30 weekly ticket but you can only use it in long stay carparks, half a mile away!
