This is an authentic thatched cottage with great charm. It also has its own unique library. The location is very rural yet only a short drive to Dorchester. It is very close to the river Frome and it is nice to have a morning walk along the same path mentioned in Under the Greenwood Tree. Thomas Hardy's cottage is only a mile or so nearby.

Unfortunately the cottage was not very clean particularly in parts of the Bathroom and Kitchen, which was a shame given that this was once clearly a lovely place that had simply been neglected both inside and out.

We had a lovely week at the Old Post Office. The cottage is great, with a nice garden and it is the perfect base to explore from.
