  Loved the location with its sea views.

  I'm a people watcher so chose the apartment because of this! It is on second floor and has stairs up to it. There are apartments above and below it and gift shop on ground floor. Very central for beach , town and harbour and marina. Spotlessly clean, decor was modern and luxurious. All mod cons , shower was amazing . TV was top of range and added bonus of tv in bedroom. Kitchen was fully equipped , again brand new and modern. The colour scheme of grey and silver ran through to the crockery too. Coffee machine was a bonus. Tea, coffee sachets of milk and sugar were provided as was selection of condiments.Luxurious thick throws were provided to keep sofas clean. Loved the mirrorred style of coffee table, dressing table , bedside cabinets and wardrobe. Everything matched and lots of thought had gone into it. Lots of hangers provided for clothes and ironing board in hallway if needed. Hairdryer stored in wardrobe, saves packing one. The bed linen was crisp and white and pillows thick and bouncy. Heating was easy to control. Key lock was easy to operate. Welcome pack provided with operating instructions for all appliances as well as maps and leaflets on local attractions. Shops and cafes on doorstep. Bus stops right outside and timetables in welcome folder. Overall, we were absolutely delighted with the apartment. Communication by text from Mike was brilliant, very informative with a personal touch. I was confident that if I needed anything at all, he would guide and advise. I have already shared the details of this apartment with my friends and will definitely be looking to rebook soon. Thank you Mike.

  By far, this is the best holiday accommodation my wife and I have stayed in within the last 10-years!

  This sea view apartment has been renovated to an extremely high standard. All fixtures, fittings and decor are of top quality, helping to create a really luxurious and spacious place to stay, unwind and relax. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Although we tended to eat out most evenings (we are keen ‘foodies’ and there are so many great places to try out around the harbour), we did cook for ourselves on occasions and found we had all the utensils we needed for cooking. The welcome pack which has been thoughtfully provided by the hosts, offers useful information on the apartment to maximise all the accommodation affords, as well as what to see and do in the local area. Although there is no private parking spaces, there are a number of local car parks within easy walking distance so this is not a problem. The apartment is perfectly located to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed wandering the lanes surrounding the harbour as well as the park and grounds of Nothe fort and Bennetts Water Gardens (a really hidden gem). A boat trip out into the bay and round to Portland harbour helped to show off the wonderful Jurassic coastline … as well as a welcomed sea breeze when the heat become a little too intense! Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are a short drive away and well worth a visit. We’re already considering when we will return for another stay.

  Thank you for a lovely stay in Buccaneer Cottage.

  It was lovely and warm when we arrived on a very cold March evening. It was very nice that milk, tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. The facilities were adequate. We brought our own towels, tea towels and hair dryer, dishwasher tabs. If we stayed again, we would also bring some cleaning materials as there were none at all. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding good quality. It was also surprisingly quiet at night considering the bedrooms were on the ground floor and the property in such a central location. Our sleep was not disturbed once. Not even afternoon naps… As mentioned, it was lovely and warm on arrival but too hot for us to sleep. We turned the heating down at the boiler but then couldn’t turn it up again the next morning. However, when we called the office they were very efficient and effective in sorting it out. We’d like to say a big thank you to them for that. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a well behaved doggy. Our 1-year-old whippet Ellery loved his daily visit to the Nothe squirrels and crows which provided a fab opportunity for some prey drive desensitisation!! He also loved the seaweed!!   Firstly the property is in a lovely location and has lots of character.

  Let's get into the nitty gritty - the shower in the ensuite in the downstairs double was covered in grime like it hadn't been cleaned for about a year, it had a toilet brush with excrement running down the sides and encrusted on the brush, the carpets smelt of wee and had big patches on, the walls had big patches of crusty paint and dirty hand marks, the blue chair upstairs smelt Victorian and of cigarettes, some of the furniture is falling apart. We went to Sykes office and showed them photos where they told us it wasn't acceptable and they would be contacting the owner. We then sent a complaint and have been told that ' the mess was made by us, we left the place in a state and left a fish in the microwave (this was accidentally a fish and chips box regrettably). If I could put the photos on here you would see that the grime and excrement were not made in a day and the disgusting attitude of these owners is appalling I will now be taking the matter further to accuse us of the mess they have neglected is appalling - avoid like the plague unless you want to catch the plague from the apartment.

  We enjoyed our break at Royal Terrace with the location being particularly good for access to all that Weymouth has to offer.

  The accommodation was reasonably comfortable and very clean. Having travelled for several hours we had hoped to find some milk to make a brew having read previous reviews but sadly we were left disappointed, still this is just a minor detail. Whilst there was an expectation to keep the property clean we couldn’t find any equipment apart from a small handbrush and pan but we managed ok. The property was well equipped but we feel anything over a week would be difficult as there are no facilities to do any laundry or wash the 2 towels that were provided. Car parking can be tricky but the owners provided good details on where to try and find spaces. There are lots of places to eat and drink within minutes of the apartment and local buses stop right outside so it is easy to leave your car and explore the surrounding areas. The beach is right across the road from apartment which was great thanks to the excellent weather we experienced. Overall apart from the minor details mentioned this is a great place to stay and enjoy a nice holiday in Weymouth.
