Guests say

Honey Cottage is a charming and cosy traditional cottage in a peaceful Suffolk location, ideal for exploring the coast and countryside. Guests particularly enjoyed the lovely enclosed garden, dog-friendly features, and proximity to a welcoming local pub. While the cottage offers a comfortable stay with characterful features, guests noted the steep spiral staircase and temperamental shower as challenges. The kitchen is well-equipped but could benefit from some updates. Overall, visitors found it a delightful base for a relaxing break, with many expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding and a tidy environment. However, several reviews mentioned issues such as cobwebs, dead spiders, and unwashed oven trays, indicating that cleanliness could be improved in some areas.

The location was highly praised for its tranquillity, scenic walks, and easy access to beaches and local amenities. The nearby pub and peaceful setting were frequently highlighted as positives.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and comfortable, enjoying the garden and wood burner. The main drawbacks were the steep, narrow staircase and the tricky shower, which could be problematic for those with mobility issues or young children.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen essentials and a spacious dining area, but several guests noted outdated or inadequate kitchenware, a temperamental shower, and minor maintenance issues such as a broken dishwasher door and insecure gate.

Some guests suggested that a small welcome pack or complimentary logs for the fire would be appreciated, but these are not guaranteed. There were no consistent mentions of thoughtful extras being provided during stays.

Enjoyed my week stay at Honey cottage with my family and dogs. Lovely and relaxing holiday. Just over 5mins drive to the coast and local shopsWould have put 5stars for overall rating but as other reviews the stairs are very tight if you have reduced mobility. But it didn't spoil our break. Would we stay again YES!
