Everything at the barn was just perfect. From the welcome package to the interiors and accessories. Barry and Jackie are the most accommodating hosts you could wish for and will ensure your stay is more than you could expect. They really have thought of everything.Plenty to do in the local area along side some lovely walks. Plenty of pubs and eateries in the town. I didn’t even have to leave Beccles during my stay.

This cottage is in a lovely, quiet and beautiful location. English countryside and water meadows surround it. Abundant wildlife of deer and hares, bullrushes and wildflowers, and butterflies and moths. Barn swallows, goldfinches and of course robins. The road down to it can be bit challenging as it is very narrow, but there are passing places. At the cottage itself there is ample free parking for two cars, and storage for bicycles. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are well set out and very comfortable. There is a double bedroom off this. Also on the ground floor is a toilet and shower, no bath. The shower works very well and has two settings - drench and direct. Stairs climb up to the second bedroom which has two single beds, a bit narrow for adults but ideal for children. There is a child safety gate that can be put across to make it safe for small children. The whole cottage is extremely well equipped, with high quality fixtures and fittings. There is also a freezer for guest use in the building adjoining the cottage. The garden at the back is large, with a wooden patio set, parasol and double swing chair. Lastly a washing line and pegs.To sum up a very impressive cottage to hire, particularly if you like to be away from it all, set in stunning countryside and with very helpful, attentive owners.Thank you both for the lovely welcome basket and the spotlessly clean and so well-equipped cottage...by far the best we have stayed in. The weather was kind and cycling the quiet lanes was a delight. We will need to come again as there is so much more to see and we have only just scratched the surface.

My father and I have just had the pleasure of staying for a few nights at Barry and Jackie’s remarkable barn. The place is exceptional from the luxurious quality of all the rooms to the small details such as night-lights, slippers, robes etc, which all help to make the stay more relaxing and comfortable. The biggest treasure though were the incredible hosts who ensured our stay was really enjoyable. They offered insightful advice such as a trip to the old vicarage gardens and Gorleston-on-Sea for a lovely beach. We highly recommend this location for its beautiful views and peaceful ambience. The area has a wide variety of activities and some nice pubs to visit too. Beccles is only a short drive away where you can purchase all the BBQ essentials! We did this and used the BBQ at the barn which made for a lovely evening! Lots of happy memories.Thank you Barry and Jackie for an exceptional stay! Mark and Peter
