"It wa sin a quiet neighbourhood and the hosts were not intrusive. A beautiful garden with river frontage was all lovely. Very good setting in a nice village. The only reason I would not book again for was that for two people the bed was a bit small for us. The bedroom would not have accomodated a bigger bed so I guess it just has to be a double bed here in this cottage. The oven we never figured out despite reading and re-reading the instructions. Very complicated. The small bed and the complicated oven are my only criticisms."

"An excellent place to stay for a few nights. No issues, whatsoever. The garden and island is well worth seeing, no matter what the weather. I only saw the owners a couple of times, they were friendly and welcoming; and interesting to have a chat with. They didn't intrude, but were available if required. The village is small, and very well to do, and their cul-de-sac is very quiet. Stratford-Upon-Avon, Stow-On-The-Wold and Oxford are easily within easy travelling distance.Yes, I'd stay again, no worries."

"Owners made you very welcome"

"A lovely cottage in a small town, has every thing you need. Quiet and peaceful."

"For a converted double garage in someone’s front garden, this is a small but well-appointed property."

"Brilliant location near the motorway. Cottage had everything we needed gardens were beautiful ."

"Debatable as to whether underfloor heating was on. we could not feel any warmth through floor. We were directed to an oil fire radiator and another was brought in. Which we placed in the bed room. Found the island a bit dangerous especially in the wet.Seating is old ,pathways slippy . Amazing location though .Very ECO friendly. We had to leave early due to a problem with our pet care ."

"S15949 is in a good location, we were a bit disapointed by the size which is aon the small side"

"Plenty of plus points: Good internet (with HDMi connection for Firestick), good cooking facilities, parkingFew negtives:Stayed here for the working week during the snow. There was one plugin oil heater, so the house was very cold when i arrived, the bedroom was cold throughout my stay.Shower has terrible pressure"

"Hosts never spoke to us and when we did they were rather distant. Kirsty actually never even acknowledged us. We are under the impression they were homophobic ????"
Irene – 11 Sep 2017
"Lovely place to stay. The garden was lovely. The cottage was nice and clean. Pity about the weather!"

"The hosts are charming but let's be clear this is a converted double garage in the owners front garden. There is no privacy and it has only 2 small windows. The kitchen equipment is sparse though enough crockery for a dinner party. I found the furnishings depressing and tatty. It is tired and could do with a good deep clean and a spruce up"

"Very pleased with staying at S15949 and its location for exploring the area."

"Excellent position for access to Stratford-Upon-Avon and Warwick . Nice friendly owners."
"This is a delightful holiday home, the owners Kirsty & Mathew were very nice,I was even allowed to use their washing machine & tumble dryer as we were there for 2 weeks,it was very warm as it had under floor heating and a heated towel rail in the bathroom,we were visiting family and will definitely use the again, the free wifi worked very well, only dropped out a couple of times."
"Very nice place and lovely views. Good location. The only problem for us is now we are getting older and our mobility is fading we found the seating was uncomfortable for us. Apart from that all was good."
"Had a really enjoyable time in this lovely little holiday home. The owners are very welcoming, the location is superb and the garden 'island' is amazing. We will be back that way in two years time and will definitely use this location again. Well done, your accommodation is excellent. X."

"Very Comfortable and made very welcome by owners- well equipped Hope to go back next year to relax on Willow Island after a day at the Bowls Championships"
"This appears to be a converted garage. It is very small and the photographs have the effect of making the accommodation seem more spacious. If you bring a dog with you then access to to the island where the dog can go is through the owners covered side access and down the garden. Again the photos make it seem like this is a view enjoyed from the accommodation. It is not. The wifi is patchy at best and we had to complain to the owner who recommended the local shop which had free wifi but eventually found a booster unit to enable us to receive patchy access to the Internet. There was no privacy with this property, the outdoor space immediately adjacent to it is on the owners drive, giving a view to the street and neighbours houses. The furniture is of poor quality and old. There is not much in the way of crockery and cutlery. All in all this did not represent good value for money."
"Although small he property was very comfortable and the garden and Island in the Avon was lovely, we had a very good time and will happily go again. Very convenient for the Theatre at Stratford and Charlecite House and Baddesley Clinton Tudor House are worth a visit."
"We will definatly stay there again so relaxing just what we needed. Thank you."
"This is a lovely cottage and really cosy. The bed was really comfortable and I really liked the eclectic style it's furnished in - tasteful and individual. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom very glam. The sitting room is sung and the little garden is lovely. It's a really bonus to be able to access the river through the owner's own garden - very generous of them not to mind! Although it was December it was lovely to walk across the bridge to the island. I was quite tempted to move in permanently!"
"Clever photography and careful wording hides the fact this property stands on the owners drive directly opposite their home, the "car space" advertised was leaving my car at the end of the cul-d-sac.While the bed was comfortable and the property was well equiped the setee was hard to get any comfort from at all and the WiFi only worked if I sat in a kitchen chair by the glass door."
"The location was ideal, plenty of nice places to visit nearby. Unfortunately this accommodation offered no privacy, the picture linked to the booking advertisement was in fact at the front of the property which was a stones throw from the owners front door. Our overall impression was it was furnished with odd bits of furniture that were worn this was especially the case with the couch. We needed to pad it out with the quilt off the bed to be able to sit on it. The lighting in the bathroom was inadequate to be able to shave or apply makeup. "

"Very cosy - we had a great time and would certainly consider going back. Really convenient for both Warwick and Stratford! We took our dog and there’s a great park 2 minutes’ walk away. Dec 2012."

"Enjoyable holiday in comfortable and well equipped cottage, with access to very interesting private island on River Avon. Nov 2012."
Previous guest
"The property was in a lovely setting, we had full access to the owners beautiful garden and it also had a private island! The location was ideal for trips to Warwick (5 mins) and Stratford -on -Avon (15 mins). Their was 2 pubs within a ten minute walk and a village shop which stocked most things. Sept 2012."

"Made us very welcome. Good accommodation. Everithing OK. June 2012."

"We were very lucky to choose the freak good weather in March, which made our holiday perfect. My fondest memory is, after a day’s sightseeing in Stratford, to go back to the accommodation, where we poured a couple of glasses of our gifted wine, then sat for two hours down on the waterside terrace watching the fish jump for flies on the river - it was so peaceful and warm. Our hosts were also warm and hospitable, we couldn’t have found a better place to stay anywhere. The accommodation was small but proved to be excellent value for money and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone - except that they might apply for the dates when we would want to return, later in the year! March 2012."

"S15949 was a wonderful "chill out" experience. Everything we needed for a relaxing weekend was available (with a welcome bottle of wine in the ’fridge!). It was central to all the places we wanted to visit and we could also use the local bus when we didn’t want to drive and have the hassle of parking in the hotspots like Stratford or Warwick. Sept 2011."

"Fantastic location. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed. Kirsty and Matthew were lovely, very approachable and kind. The swing seat by the river Avon and the island were the icing on the cake. Aug 2011. "

"My wife and I had a lovely break in S15949. It was ideally placed for visiting Stratford, Warwick and Leamington which we enjoyed. It was a beautiful location on the banks of the Avon where we sat on the swing bench enjoying the sunset. The facilities were excellent, Kirsty and Matt were friendly and welcoming. We would recommend it highly. Aug 2011."

"This was a superb base, in a quiet friendly village. We found it ideal to visit Stratford, Banbury, Warwick, Kenilworth and Bourton on the Water, (Cotswold Country). Our hosts were lovely and gave us the freedom of their island, around which the river circled. We also had part of the garden for BBQ’s if we wanted. We would certainly go back, it was relaxing and cheering, and there is so much more to explore in that part of the country. Cheers. June 2011. "
