Inviting Warwick Cottage sleeping up to 6 guests

Set in glorious farmland down a tree-lined private drive close to Shakespeare’s River Avon, each of these delightful adjoining properties (Cressida Ref: NMA and S15956 Ref: NMB) has been restored by professional architect design to offer a holiday retreat for all seasons. The interiors have been converted in a contemporary manner whilst retaining their original charm, including their attractive exposed beams.
Cressida (NMA) is ideal for a family holiday as it has a double and twin bedrooms. It has a beamed open plan kitchen/ living/dining area with patio doors to the terrace. The double bedroom has a 5ft bed and there is also a twin bedroom, ideal for the kids! S15956 (NMB) retains its character with a beamed open-plan living/dining area and a modern kitchen. A mix of old and new throughout, the spacious conversion has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin. Ideal for families or a group of friends wishing for a relaxing break. Light and airy, the views from the terrace stretch across the owner’s fields and give it a real secluded feel. Perfect for a few drinks in the evening! Both properties can be booked individually or together for larger groups, and as they are only 2 miles from the M40, they can be reached easily from the north or south making them ideal for family holidays, reunions etc.

Both have terraces which have views across the owner’s fields and an abundance of local wildlife, such as the friendly sheep, rabbits, hares, foxes, buzzards and Monkjack to name a few. If you love getting close to nature this is the ideal place for you! Not far from the local amenities, you can also explore the sights of nearby Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Coventry (City of Culture 2021). All have a variety of excellent restaurants, interesting specialist shopping, museums and sights such as Warwick Castle, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Birmingham’s NEC, hosting a multitude of events, The National Motor Museum and 10 National Trust properties within a 45-minute drive. Warwick Parkway railway station is 4 ½ miles to take the train to London, 80 minutes, and Birmingham, 23 minutes. Beautiful walks from the Barns and cycling (adjacent Cycle Way 41). Golf, tennis and riding available locally. Shops 3½ miles, pub 2½ miles.

"A great base in which to visit the lovely towns of Stratford, Warwick and Leamington whilst being close to the Cotswolds and out in the countryside."
    Katie – 1 Jun 2018
"Unfortunately it said there was wi fi and there was not so booking days out was not a possibility. The cleanliness could have been better. In need of a deep clean. Bathrooms needed some updatingThe barns are in a fantastic location to get to Warwick , Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa"
    Andrew – 16 Feb 2018
"S15956 is everything you'd want in a barn conversion: it's spacious, light and full of character with lots of original features while being modern and well-equipped. The property is in a fabulous rural setting but very close to major road connections so the perfect base to explore the local area; Stratford upon Avon and Warwick are both a very short drive away. The owners are very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. We couldn't recommend it more highly."
    Bernard – 30 Oct 2017
"Lovely modern barn conversion surrounded by beautiful countryside. We loved sitting on the terrace for breakfast over looking the fields. Very well equiped and comfortable beds. You will need a car though as its fairly isolated in terms of public transport."
    David – 13 Oct 2017
"We really loved staying there. Our schedule was such as we didn't get to enjoy it nearly as much as we wanted too, but in the event we are able to travel there again, we are hopeful we can stay there again."
    John – 15 Sep 2017
"Excellent property. Beautiful location. Friendly & helpful owners. Lovely to see sheep in the field behind the cottage."
    Lynn – 1 Sep 2017
"Our 2nd stay in this lovely comfortable cottage. Quiet location, ideally placed for visiting Stratford upon Avon and Warwick."
    Antonio – 11 Aug 2017
"The place is amazing and it was great for us to come back. Everything was as we expected. The owner had a great gesture writing us some lines welcoming us again and leaving us a bottle of wime at the house. No doubt we´ll repeat again next year. Thank you!!"
"We (three ladies of a certain age) holding a reunion stayed for a weekend at S15956 and had a splendid time. The property has been very elegantly converted and is spacious and homely. Minor quibbles would be that the mattresses were a little hard (a matter of taste I realise) and the kitchen could have been a better equipped, but we extemporised . Plenty of very hot water, which was lovely and the patio was very pleasant.Note on location - this property is deep in the country though in driving distance from many tourist attractions. This suited us as we were happy to cook for ourselves and adored the rural setting but it would have been a bit of a hike to the nearest pub had we wanted to eat out and not had a designated driver."
"For a cottage advertised as a luxury property S15956 is very tired. Bathrooms need updating, and consequently look a bit grubby. Sofa very lumpy and uncomfortable, many items had stickers asking to be handled with care etc. Bath towels very small, and communal hand towels not provided in bathrooms. Branded hand soap bottles re-filled with cheap alternative. All this not in keeping with luxury image."

"Great as a base to visit surrounding area."
"Very comfortable, bright and airy lovely barn conversion with far reaching countryside views. The owner was friendly, obliging and very helpful.S15956 is ideal for visiting Warwick, Stratford and the Cotswolds. It is quiet with nice walks on the doorstep yet near to all the major routes.Thank you - we had a relaxing enjoyable stay."
"The house was amazing and the owner has been a kind, caring person to all of us. We have spent one of the best holidays of our lives at S15956, and will repeat next year!!"
"Really nice farm building conversion to holiday let. Stylish and practical. Difficult to keep clear of cobwebs and dust with being very rural. Owners really nice people"
"A lovely barn conversion. Let down by the fact that it is in desperate need of a deep clean. We spent the first couple of days cleaning! Generally needs an update - old broken utensils, mould in the barhroom, cobwebs everwhere. Could be such a nice place though if there was more attention to detail."
"Great location and a lovely cottage. Could be so much better though. The beds were not at all comfortable - we used the spare quilts as mattress toppers which helped. Also, the combi boiler located in the end-suite bedroom disturbed our sleep. It also wasn't the cleanest of cottages that we have stayed in."
"Very comfortable accommodation in a brilliant location and beautiful surroundings"
"Centrally located for many areas of interest and close to motorway system. The sheep and lambs were fun for my 2 year old grandson to watch."

"Good location to visit Warwick and surrounding area."
"Comfortable stay. Smallest fridge I have ever seen in a 6 bed stay. Road noise from A46 is constant. Master bedroom is open to noise from below as only sliding glass panel. Beds comfortable and heating is good."

"S15956 is a lovely place to stay, giving the opportunity to visit Stratford, Warwick and the Cotswolds. As it was Christmas we appreciated that the owners has provided a Christmas tree and some decorations. The accommodation was comfortable and warm and we enjoyed our stay."
"This was a lovely converted barn that was very warm as it was November."
"We had a lovely stay at the barn, beautiful location, relaxing environment."
"Lovely well equipped cottage in a quiet location in wonderful countryside with plenty of things to do in surrounding area."
"Wonderful central location for visiting the heart of England."
"The cottage is very well located for easy access to Warwick, Lemington Spa and several National Trust properties. A week isn't long enough to do everything. Local walking and bird watching site all add to the charm."
"Very comfortable and well equipped! Beautiful location."
"S15956 is definitely perfect for family retreats. The barn makeover is superb, and we really loved the underfloor heating (its winter during our stay). Nice view, cozy ambiance, lovely rooms and sufficient baths- everything just complemented our stay here. Beautiful overall."
"Welcome from owner appreciated. Christmas tree lovely addition. For t 6 people we would have liked a bigger fridge freezer . Noise at night in the 2nd. Bedroom from heating system "
"Lovely cottage but quite remote - needed a car for all journeys. No local shops/pubs etc so had to have all food/drink essentials. Comfortable accommodation but furnishings a little dated."
"We enjoyed our visit in this very well converted barn. Small issue on standard of some kitchen equipment that did not match the rest of the offer"
"Great location, best property that we have stayed in.Score for cleanliness is more down to ware tear rather than neglect. We woul love to return to the property if we visit the area again."

"Quiet, well-converted barn in a quiet location, whilst close to many places to visit. Comfortable beds, clean accommodation (taking into account that you can’t keep spiders out of a barn in a farm location so inevitably a few minor cobwebs). Minor issues such as lounge lighting rather dim and bathroom taps very stiff, but overall very pleased with our choice and would recommend to others. Oct 2012."

"A beautifully appointed property in a clean, contemporary style with interesting features (e.g. galleried bedroom). The owner left us a welcoming note with tea and biscuits and popped in to see we were ok but did not hang around, which was perfect. Oct 2008."
