It’s one of four similar dwellings and perfect for couples or friends looking for a one-of-a-kind break. The castle itself hosts a wide variety of events from April through November, and it’s also home to a charming café, restaurant and gift shop. You’ll be in a central spot in the market town of heart of Ludlow – on the Herefordshire, Shropshire and Wales border. Excellent walking opportunities surround you, from strolling along the River Teme to joining the Mortimer Trail (2 miles), a scenic 30-mile waymarked route from Ludlow to Kington. Keen hikers can also venture 10 miles north to the Shropshire Hills Natural Landscape, perhaps following the waymarked trail to Flounders’ Folly. The full loop from Craven Arms is around 6.5 miles and packed with panoramic views.
