good location, Alfie was spotlessly clean on arrival. first thing we noticed was decking could do with a coat of paint or varnish, looked a bit neglected. Said there would be a welcome pack on arrival, must have been well hidden, disappointing. There was 2 passes in the lodge for access through Sewerby hall, we were told in no uncertain terms by staff at Sewerby hall , the passes are worthless , and will not gain you access or entry to any facilities on the hall grounds. Alfie does have a singing light fitting, use the washer and you will see what i mean. No hoover or iron provided , if you did need to vac up , or an item of clothing needed an iron. If you do stay in Alfie and you know the weather is going to be hot , take a couple of fans with you, a couple of nights it was like trying to sleep in a greenhouse, it certainly holds the heat. All in all nice lodge/ chalet, was very clean, good location for visiting round the area, would recommend. If you find the welcome pack , please let me know.

Excellent lodge . We will be back. We found the lodge very comfortable and the bath and shower were much appreciated. Nice walks from there and much enjoyed the seaside.

Beautiful lodge already booked for next year... only a few minor dust/cobweb issue in the skylight in en suite! Location, peacefulness, quality of soft furnishings, looking forward to next year already
