This ground floor apartment is just across the road from the beach and is perfect for a family holiday. The courtyard to the rear of the property is enclosed, and there is a ramp entrance directly into the conservatory for easy access. Guests are welcome to use the restaurant, bar and entertainment facilities at the Hotel Expanse which belongs to the same owner. The apartment has a spacious kitchen/dining area with all modern amenities, and French doors lead into the bright conservatory.
Fisherman’s Friend makes a great base for a family holiday. Why not visit the Yorkshire Wolds and the North York Moors National Park, have a day out in York or Hull, or just have a lazy time on the beach?
Bridlington has plenty of restaurants, bars and shops as well as a busy working harbour. It’s also home to Bridlington Spa Theatre, a great venue for international acts. There’s two golf courses close by and also a leisure centre with challenging climbing walls and a swimming pool.
Danes Dyke Nature Reserve is along the cliff tops and is well worth the walk. Great for walking the dog, or if the children prefer, there’s the land train taking you as far as Sewerby. Beach 100 yards. Shop 1¼ miles, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Great host that was on hand for any issues, it’s a great location behind what was our favorite hotel. The weather was great and we could still see the sea. The decking area is lovely to sit out in a sunny day. Wheelchair access used too towards the conservatory. Will book again

We visit this property three times a year. Since the Expanse Hotel closed the property is suffering from lack of maintenance. The standard of cleanliness suffers from lack of supervision ie dirty oven, freezer frosted up, soiled cushions, dirty windows, the lounge curtains do not run smoothly and need rehanging. All this used to be addressed. Sadly the bar opposite for good value meals and entertainment closed when the hotel did and to date not reopened, leaving the North end of the bay with no entertainment. Having said that we keep returning, the position of Fisherman’s Friend is excellent the ground floor accommodation is comfortable and spacious.
