Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the Sir Nigel Gresley cottage for its excellent location, comfortable accommodation, and proximity to local amenities. The property is praised for being clean, well-equipped, and offering easy access to the sea, beach, and nearby attractions. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and facilities, the majority of reviews reflect a positive experience, highlighting the property as a recommended choice for a holiday stay.

Most guests found the apartment to be clean and well-maintained, with several reviews specifically mentioning its spotless condition. However, a few reviews raised concerns about certain aspects of cleanliness, such as stained toilets and the need for towel replacement, which slightly lowers the overall score.

The location is highly praised for being excellent, with easy access to pubs, restaurants, the sea, and local attractions. The convenience of nearby amenities and the quiet yet central setting in the village contribute to a very high score in this category.

Guests generally find the apartment comfortable, with comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere mentioned in several reviews. However, some guests noted issues with low settees and the positioning of the TV, which suggests room for improvement in the comfort category.

The property is described as well-equipped by many guests, but there are comments about limited kitchen equipment, non-microwave safe cutlery, and a lack of dining chairs for four guests. These points indicate that while the facilities are adequate, there is potential for enhancement.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness category, and the score is set to null.

Lovely cottage only issue was the front door it sticks and is hard to open but maybe that's the cold weather. Cottage has everything you need for a lovely break. The local chip shop is fantastic in fact my husband refused Fish and Chips in Whitby to eat from the local takeaway. Be mindful if you have mobility issues there are quite a few steps up to the cottage.
