The renowned local pub with good food is within walking distance! You are 5 miles from the impressive Malham Cove, and 9 miles from the market town of Skipton with its 4 day a week market, roofed castle, medieval church and traditional shops, pubs and restaurants. I feel it could be alot cleaner, there was dirt under beds which just needed a good hoovering I think. Also needed new towels as some stained and perhaps replace the kettle and toaster. Communal space is ideal for large groups just needs a bit of an update.

We were a group of 7 women who choose Grizedale Barn partly due to the large number of single beds as well as excellent location. The barn conversion is one of three situated alongside a working farm. There is space for two cars in front of the cottage and more parking behind the other barns. Each barn had an enclosed lawn with a picnic table.It is well situated ona single track country road with some lovely walks nearby,15 min walk to the local Spar,3 miles into Grassington and 7 miles into Skipton.The barn is spacious with a well equipped kitchen but is in need of some updating and homely touches to make it just that bit more cosy. The electric log fire didn't give out any heat and throws would have been appreciated for the leather sofas. There was a bunch of fresh flowers awaiting us. However we would have preferred a pint of milk to have a hot tea as the heating wasn't on when we arrived in the middle of storm Amy. Heating instructions were not clear although we did find the thermostat eventually. The farmer was indifferent when called out about this and also that one of the skylights was dripping into a tin bucket. We problem solved with the plastic mop bucket.The large accessible downstairs wet room is accessed through a narrow bedroom between two single beds,with little free space which would be a challenge for anyone requiring assistance with transfers.Beds were comfortable and the heating turned out to be very effective with excellent shower pressure and plenty of hot water.Overall a large spacious barn conversion with plenty of single beds just in need of TLC and a few homely touches.We would have appreciated milk on arrival and maybe guidance where we could have bought local produce from nearby farms as do try to support the local economy. The farmer also came into the property and started cleaning whilst we were leaving admittedly we were just a few minutes over 10am taking the last items out and doing the last check over. Not ideal.We did have a lovely weekend and it was reasonably priced and set in a beautiful part of the world.
