The Barn was very suitable for us, but i thought you might provide basics, like salt, oil for cooking, washing up liquid. Also in the bathrooms hand soap. It is quite easy now a days to have small soap dispensers that can be easily topped up as necessary. My wife and I stayed in a very nice but simple cottage also rented via Cottages. Com and they left us a newly baked loaf, biscuits and Jam, all a very nice touch.

The barn is very tired and outdated and needs a good refresh. The location is lovely with a good outside space.

Grisedale Barn was great for our needs as a family of 10. It was comfortable and clean and in a fantastic location. It was country accommodation, not luxury, but more than adequate. The experience could be improved if outdoor chairs were provided and better quality bedding and towels, but those issues did not really bother us as everything was clean.The owner was very kind and accepted our request to allow our friends to join us for the afternoon of my husband birthday. It is situated in an idyllic part of the country.
