Set in a quiet cul-de-sac with secure parking, it is 200 yards from cobbled streets lined with quaint shops, great fish restaurants, galleries and pubs. Close to beach and clifftop walks. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

The Cottage was brilliant, spacious and had everything including bedding and towels. Was within easy walking distance to the town and Pavilion area. Was very comfortable for a group stay.Unfortunately when we arrived there was water everywhere in the kitchen area, we thought someone had turned the freezer off, so we spent some time trying to find where it had been plugged in but then realised the power was off so the freezer which had contained several bags of ice was thawing out so we had to bucket the water out of the freezer and clean the fridge and floor as it was flooded. Once we realised the power was off we were able to sort the problem but it meant also that there was a bit of a smell from the fridge. Also when we came into the gated area to park the cars there was an awful smell from the bin. We sprayed some freshner into it but it made no difference the flies escaped but the smell remained throughout our stay. Fortunately it wasn't in the garden area where we spent some nice evenings in the sunshine.We called the office the day before we were coming to check if linen and towels were included as the website did not have these items listed on their "whats included" although it did show the beds made up. We were told that they were NOT INCLUDED. It would be useful I think to update the website to show these items to avoid confusion for future holiday makers.Despite the unfortunate start to the break and the smell in the bin area we had a very nice break and would certainly consider a return.

Absolutely love this cottage, has everything we needed. Parking is a little tricky but with some guidance managed to get in. Spotlessly clean , we book every year for past 4 years and have never had any issues.

Excellent accommodation. Close to the town centre. With parking which is a bonus in Whitby. Furnishings and fittings are of a very high standard. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone especially a large family or groups of friends.
