A superb, stone-built detached cottage located in the peaceful Nidderdale village of Grewelthorpe near Ripon. The property sits in a Hamlet of several pretty cottages, on the edge of the village. Boasting uninterrupted countryside views to the rear, this makes for the ideal spot for couples looking to get away from it all and enjoy a well-earned break. The cottage features a delightful open plan living area complete with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a perfect space to enjoy meals for two, plus there is a cosy sitting area where you can snuggle up in front of the woodburning stove and enjoy a film.
You will also find a spacious bedroom featuring an en-suite wet room. An ideal location for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, not to mention Harrogate, Knaresborough and York!

Only one storage radiator in the bedroom - not switched on for our arrival so it took about 12 hours to produce any heat. The lounge only has a log burner - no problem, we have one at home - but logs supplied are just sufficient for one night, and there's no help given as where to buy more. 2) Access is poor if you have a large car; there's not really enough room for a three point turn in the parking area due to various obstructions each side. The owners don't want you exiting the easy way out through the gate directly to a lane on the right for some reason, although the cottage next door uses this on a daily basis. Reversing 50 yds around the barn is not user friendly, so I had to open this gate and 3 point turn in the space the other side. 3) No DVD player as stated in website listing.

Waking up each morning to the view over the hills and seeing the bullocks in the adjacent field were the perfect start to the day. Most definitely worth a visit. Many thanks to the owners.
