The market town of Hawes in North Yorkshire's Richmondshire is a major draw for visitors to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Wensleydale, along with neighbouring Swaledale, Cotterdale, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wharfedale, and Chapel-le-Dale, are easily accessible from this town, which is conveniently located between Buttertubs and Fleet Moss. The Hawes Town Trail, Millennium Walk, Pennine Way, and the River Ure are all within easy walking distance. The English Tourist Board recognised Hawes as the "Best Day Trip Out" with a silver medal in 1998. On Tuesdays, when a farmers' auction brings in sheep farmers from all across the north of England, Hawes remains as bustling as ever, despite the fact that modern transportation has long since supplanted coaches and horse pulled carts down its small lanes. There are several hotels, restaurants, and businesses in the Dales that serve not just the locals but also the many tourists that visit the area. Visitors may now tour the Wensleydale Creamery, made famous by the Wallace and Gromit films, and get a taste of the award-winning cheese in the creamery's cosy café. The National Park Visitor Centre and the Dales Countryside Museum are two popular destinations in the renovated railway yard. The museum houses the impressive Dales artefact collections of Marie Hartley and Joan Ingilby, two of the region's most illustrious historians and authors.

Lovely hot tub and amazing location with beautiful views and easy access to Hawes and other visitor attractions. Annabels loft on lovely holiday park with lots of different types of accommodation. Would definitely visit the park again but would probably choose different accommodation.

That said, the kitchen is so small, it's almost pointless! If you're using the cooker, there is literally about 1 foot of worktop space to do anything. The main issue for us though was the spiral ladders - it's too narrow to be called a staircase1 the listing did talk about them and they are shown clearly in thr photos, but a more specific description or even a warning would help. We would definitely consider returning to the site but not to Annabel's Loft.
