Within 25 miles, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this village acts as a great base location for walkers, cyclists and those seeking an exciting expedition with family and friends. During your stay, explore historic sites such as Raby Castle (8 miles) and Egglestone Abbey (10 miles). Meander around the market towns Barnard Castle (10 miles) and Richmond (8 miles), both steeped in history, castle ruins and farmers markets. Head up the drive towards the impressive grand palladium arch where the recently renovated cottage sits just behind. Park your car beside the cottage and walk up the path into this charming stone fronted cottage. Step into the welcoming country style kitchen/diner. This space has been created so that you can admire the garden, cook up a storm in the kitchen whilst remain sociable with the rest of the group in the adjoining lounge. The generously equipped kitchen has integrated appliances including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
