Boundcliffe Farm is a well-loved cottage, praised for its welcoming touches like home-baked bread and cake. It's ideal for family gatherings, offering ample space, comfort, and a variety of facilities including a games room and outdoor play area. The location is convenient for exploring the North York Moors, coast, and nearby attractions. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, the well-equipped kitchen, and the friendly hosts, making it a highly recommended stay for both relaxation and adventure.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous reviews mentioning its spotless condition upon arrival. Only one review noted the need for some additional cleaning, but this seems to be an isolated incident rather than a common concern.
The property's location is frequently praised for its proximity to local attractions, the coast, and the countryside. It is described as ideal for visiting Whitby and other areas, with only a minor note regarding the absence of a village pub or shop.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the spacious lounge and comfortable beds. The property is described as homely and well-suited for large groups, though a few guests found some mattresses too soft for their preference.
The facilities, including a games room, playground, and well-equipped kitchen, are highly appreciated. Some guests suggested minor improvements, such as better lighting in the kitchen and an updated oven, but overall the facilities are well-regarded.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the consistent mentions of welcome gifts such as freshly baked bread and cake. While these gestures are greatly appreciated by guests, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
