Bike store. Electric car charging point. Parking for 1 car.. Cherry Garth Cottages are located in the centre of Thornton le Dale, ’Yorkshire’s little gem’. Cherry Laurel has been named after the cherry trees which border the garden. The cottage has been built from beautiful traditional Yorkshire stone, and is tucked away in the grounds of the owner’s home Cherry Garth. It has an open plan living area with a welcoming wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a busy day out exploring the spectacular Yorkshire coast and countryside, and upon arrival you will find a lovely welcome pack with tea and coffee. There are lovely views from the property onto the garden and the beck which runs alongside the cottage.
The picturesque village of Thornton le Dale is located on the edge of the North York Moors, a mere one mile from Pickering. From here you can take a ride on the famous steam train to Grosmont, Goathland (aka Aidensfield in the classic TV series Heartbeat) and the seaside town of Whitby where you can climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey. Those looking for a quieter pace of life may prefer to walk the many footpaths and bridleways over the North York Moors.

Very happy with our stay at Cherry Laurel Cottage, the location and amenities are excellent, the only downside was intermittent cold water in the shower on occasion.

Cherry Laurel is a lovely location to explore North Yorkshire. Our host, Gill, answered promptly to a query I had and ensured we had everything we needed. The cottage was spotless on arrival and was well equipped. Thornton le Dale is a very pretty village with good amenities. I would highly recommend Cherry Laurel and the exceptional host and team.

Great location cottage was very nice good size garden for our dog to explore.the only small fault was it was advertised with a dvd player and cd player but there wasn't either but apart from that great holiday.would definitely book again .highly recommended.
