Situated in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, on the owner’s working farm, it is a haven of peace and tranquillity, surrounded by meadows and woodland, footpaths and bridleways. The village of Lockton (one mile) has a tea room with the local inns serving good meals. Pickering (six miles) has an array of shops, restaurants and pubs and is home to the Steam Preservation Railway. The ancient fishing port of Whitby is 15 minutes drive away with Scarborough, Filey and York within easy driving distance.

Excellent cottage set in peace and quiet, yet only a few miles from all local amenities. Cannot fault in anyway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return and recommend to friends.

Really well set up cottage, spotlessly clean, clean crisp fresh smelling bedding, comfy beds. Lovely peaceful location with good walking from the door or within reasonable driving distance. Central to many popular destinations. Friendly but unobtrusive owners. Will definitely be rebooting!
