Wheatsheaf Cottage has a warm and welcoming ambience with bags of character, the gorgeous farmhouse-style kitchen boasts a Rayburn range, there’s also an open fire and period beams, plus a charming witching post where you can have your initials carved as a permanent reminder of your holiday! A stone flagged entrance porch leads to an open plan living area, branching to the right is an elegant sitting room with wooden floors, TV, and an open fire, offering gentle warmth and relaxation after a bracing moorland ramble. Off to the left is a generous and well-equipped kitchen with a dining area; utilise the Rayburn cooker for lazy breakfasts and to cook superb local fare which can then be enjoyed as a family. On sunny evenings you could even fire up the barbecue on the terrace while the kids while the evening away with table tennis. When it’s time for bed, head upstairs to the first floor to find a charming double and a twin bedroom, both rooms boast handy en-suite shower rooms as well as equally lovely views of the village green. Continue to the second floor to find another double and twin bedroom serviced by a sleek bathroom with freestanding bath. The cottage lies paces away from The Wheatsheaf, a renowned gastropub where you can treat your loved ones to a delicious meal after a day of exploring the myriad of walks woven through the village and the surrounding area. Grosmont, a picturesque village on the North Yorkshire Moors, is located at the confluence of the Esk and Murk Esk rivers. The area is known for its winding roads, high hills, and beautiful vistas of rolling farmland and open moorland. Geographically located in "Heartbeat Country," Grosmont is well known as the hub of the North York Moors Steam Railway. Since 1973, enthusiasts have restored and operated the Railway, which now sees over 300,000 riders annually. There are several different types of shops in the hamlet, including a grocery store, a post office, a bookstore, an art gallery, and several cafes and a bar.
