Perran Cottage lies in the exclusive holiday village, ‘The Bay’ and is just a 10-minute walk from an idyllic golden sandy beach and 3 miles from the town centre of the Victorian coastal town of Filey. This is a lovely modern, terraced two bedroom cottage, with an open plan living area, that has been tastefully furnished and decorated to a very good standard, offering perfect accommodation to couples and families with pets looking for a seaside holiday. There is a lawned area at the back of the property with a table and chairs.
The resort has its own pub, coffee shop, pharmacy and leisure facilities on site including an indoor 25m swimming pool with child’s pool, steam room and sauna included in the price, using the leisure pass for the cottage (gym use and other activities are at an additional cost). There is also a beauty room offering spa treatments, a tennis court, boules court, and children’s play area.
The site is set within spectacular scenery overlooking the sea with direct pedestrian access to the glorious 6-mile Filey beach (approx ¾ mile from the property) as well as 100 acres of pasture, lakes and woodland. It is situated in a central position making it easy to explore the many beautiful coastal resorts close by, including Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. For those who enjoy the great outdoors you are in the perfect location. Bempton Cliffs is an rspb nature reserve that attracts puffins and gannets where you can watch them building nests and raising chicks. The photogenic white cliffs of Flamborough are a sight to behold, with marked trails for walkers around the lighthouse - watch out for the seals in the sea below.
In Scarborough you have the castle, a long stretch of beach as well as Peasholm Park. Around an hour away is the historic coastal town of Whitby, with the iconic abbey and cobbled streets to discover. For children there is a great choice of activities and days out with nearby Alpamare Water Park in Scarborough; Dalby Forest with zip lining trails through the tree tops, or Flamingo Land Resort theme park and zoo less than an hour away. Visitors are sure to create treasured memories at the beach whilst searching through rock pools, splashing in the waves, perhaps even learning to surf at one of the surf schools nearby. There is also golf nearby. Beach ¾ mile. Shop 1 mile, pub ¼ mile and restaurant 2 miles.

Brilliant cottage, everything you need. Would definitely go again. Only problem was people not clearing up after their dogs even though plenty of bins.

I mesaged a few times regarding check in as was at 5pm which is quite late and got no response. I have conflicting emails one saying check out was 11am and then another one saying check out was 9am. The curtains in the living room were actually filthy at the bottom. Lots of large bits of dust on the window sills. The dining room chairs were all stained. There were 2 toilet rolls and no hand wash. A simple touch of items would have been nice for the price. The bedding in the main bedroom looks old and worn. There were no pases for the on site facilities even though in the pack it said there would be so we were unable to use the pool etc.

Property was very clean on arrival & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only faults we found was the sofa was uncomfortable, not enough teaspoons, the appliance instructions could do with keeping in a folder & labeled. Also the toilet brush holders were dirty & rusty, suggest changing for plastic ones.
