The well-equipped kitchen opens up through elegant French doors to the sunny enclosed garden; perfect for children and pets top play. Sadly not a good experience. We are a family of five and stayed for 7 nights Fri-Fri.The shower broke on arrival and was not fixed until late Monday morning. Considering there is no bath, the time to resolve this took too long and severely impacted our holiday as we were unable to partake in normal family seaside activities with no way of washing effectively afterwards.The toilet doors had no handle operated closing latches, meaning the doors were unable to be closed, making privacy difficult.The garden was not secure for our small dog as there were large enough holes and gaps in the right side boundary for her to escape through, meaning we could not relax in the garden and she needed to be kept on her lead at all times whilst out there.There is room for up to three vehicles directly outside the property which serve all the properties in a row so a parking space is not guaranteed. We parked further up the road round the corner for about half of the week.The washing machine also broke during our stay, we did report this to the owner immediately. This was another inconvenience as I was left with wet dirty washing to bring home.The upstairs smoke alarm wasn't installed as regulation but propped on a window sill which was slightly worrying.Cleanliness was generally good.The location is convenient for the beach and a short walk into Filey town. We would happily return to Filey, but based on our experience would not book this accommodation again.

Second time here and love it even more overall accommodation and facilities are excellent but we found it was the unwritten extras that really make it a home from home the garden on the face of it it possibly overgrown but what a pleasure to sit out commune with nature an absolute treasure trove of birds and insects and think we definitely had the best of the country's weather this week will definitely look to return ASAP

On the whole an attractive and comfortable roomy house. Lovely garden with plenty of seating. Kitchen well equipped, but some may be disappointed at the lack of a dishwasher. While we were there the washing machine was on the blink and clonked it’s way through a wash and didn’t spin at all, we rely on a washer to keep up with the kids clothes, hopefully this will have been replaced. Whilst I’m having a niggle be aware that both toilet doors not only do not have locks, but the doors do not close as although they have door knobs for ‘decoration’ there are no latches. Was ok for us but some may feel a bit anxious about holding the door shut with their foot! The location was excellent to walk to the town, beach and Glen Gardens. Shop next door also. Parking was never a problem for us either. We had a comfortable stay, thanks.
