Fantastic place to stay. We are very frequent travellers and this one is on our favourite list. A place we would highly recommend!! Very easy straightforward check in process. All needed info given in advance. Owner very informative, making sure we had required info prior to arrival and lovely host to deal with. Location was fantastic for visiting Whitby, Scarborough and Filey itself. Very clean, beds very comfy with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Hoover, mop, iron and all other equipment were fantastic, all worked very well and easy to use. A spacious cottage with lots of storage. We were provided with more than enough towels and things like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets to see us through the first few days. WiFi and tv easy to work as was the hot water controls. The site itself has a lovely beach a short walk away and a mini arcade, shop, restaurant/ bar. One issue, which was nothing to do with our host was dog mess. The walk to the beach and the walks around site were quite bad with owners sadly not Cleaning up after their dog which was quite a big issue for us as we have young children, who naturally want to run and explore and the extent of the dog mess did make this an issue. It’s something to be mindfulOf if you visit this site. As I say though -nothing the host can do about that but I know it’s something families with children would need to be mindful of if you enjoy walks and plan on visiting the beach which is lovely. In summary though a great location, beautiful property, very informative and friendly host with everything you need for a family stay.

Love the property. The bay is a wonderful place to have a holiday. However I’m sorry to have to comment on the negatives I had to rectify a couple of issues that were evident to me while staying there. Take the arm off the dishwasher and remove the scale that was blocking the holes. Add the salt granules as it was clearly empty. The extractor fan was dripping with grease and dropping into the pans. So I had to clean both and soak them. The sofas had no cushions which would have been very nice to have. The pillows on the bed were terrible they have had their day. I had to go out and buy some decent quality ones. The cheap quality of the quilts were very evident leading to poor sleep. Not expecting in such a beautiful holiday home.
