The property offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, games room, hot tub, and outdoor seating. Guests appreciate the attention to detail, such as plentiful towels and entertainment options. Minor maintenance issues are occasionally noted but do not detract from the overall experience.

Lovely cottage within easy reach of some great walks. Local bus service good if you want a break from the car. Some noise from the road but not enough to worry us at all.Cottage was well equipped. Only thing the shower isn’t great but 2 lovely baths so absolutely fine.Hottub one of the best we’ve used and very private.Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit here.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Barn. It’s the perfect location for both Scarborough and Whitby. Would highly recommend Three Jolly Sailors which was a 15 minute walk away- great food! The hot tub was lovely, although a squish if you have 6 people. Hot tub overlooks a lovely field and we even had a pheasant sitting on the hotub a few mornings! The beds were super comfortable. The road is very noisy especially from the back bedrooms, but we got used to it as the week went on. We did find the barn to be quite dirty when we got there. Very dusty (some obviously very old cobwebs), mouldy cushions for the outdoor furniture and grubby light switches etc. The shower is very small and controlled from the outside of the cubicle- there is absolutely no way to avoid the water flow, it would benefit from a shelf as there is no where to put your shampoo and it’s too small to comfortably bend to pick them off the floor. You can’t use the shower in the bath without getting water everywhere, so in general showering was a bit of a mission. Overall a really lovely stay- we would definitely return.
