We stayed at Sycamore cottage in Ballater for 7 days. The cottage is as described, with cooking, laundry, and freezer facility's. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating along with room central heating radiators as required plus the added bonus of a log burner. A peacefully location, walking distance to an array of nice traditional shops and facility's, Bicycle hire facility's and repair shops near by. plenty choice of cafes and restaurants, We sampled the Indian restaurant twice and also had a fantastic carryout from the Chinese takeaway away top clas. Plenty to see and do Idyllic scenery and walks. Stop in by the book shop! We were lucky enough to meet the owner who was very interesting and gave us an incite to the history of Ballater He has been in the town for over 50 years and knows the community well an enlightening conversation. Plenty quality outdoor shops with clothing and equipment for the hobby walker or those with a more focused plan.

Cottage was lovely. Clean, organised and well-appointed. Plenty of detail in visitors handbook. Hosts are clearly conscientious and committed to their busines. Regular network speed fine though. All in all, very pleasant stay in a cosy, warm hideaway I could happily have lived in.
