A beautiful house. Really comfortable and roomy with exceptional aspect. Really wonderful views of the bay. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening sunshine. Very well equipped kitchen with everything we needed to cook our Easter roast lamb. Beautiful coastal walks, plenty to see and do nearby. Perfect retreat, thank you!

Grey Rocks is a beautiful new property set above the harbour in the quiet village of Kippford. The photos online give you a good idea of what it's like but you can't quite take in the scale of the house until you're there. So much space! All the bedrooms were very comfortable with new bedding and lovely fluffy white towels. Up the stairs is the main living space accommodating the kitchen at one end, huge table in the middle and comfortable seating next to the picture window overlooking the harbour.Everything you need has been provided in the kitchen and is very good quality.There's also a separate lounge with massive TV and again, very comfortable seating. There's a handy upstairs loo and one bedroom next to the lounge. All rooms have access to an outdoor terrace (with furniture) to enjoy the view. The gardens surrounding the house were a great size for exercising our dog, tho not fully enclosed.We had lovely walks through the forest which is easily accessed from the road behind the house. The road through the village takes you along the water where there's a lovely coffee shop and small beaches made entirely of shells.All in all it was a wonderful place to stay if you're in need of peace and wonderful views.
