Lovely location, and environment. Cottage is spacious and well equipped, large garden with amazing views across the Solway. Can be cold and hard work, keeping the fire going for heating. Maybe needs bringing into the 21st century, but for character and atmosphere it works a treat.

Surprised to find the heating needed the wood burner to be lighted first as run by a back burner. The cottage was recently decorated so all clean and tidy however when opening the kitchen cupboards you get a fusty damp smell, meaning all the kit you harnessed washing first. Fabulous enclosed garden for the dogs, but would be good to know before arriving that dogs off sofas unless you have your own covers, so that was an unexpected expense, and dogs not allowed in bedroom so a child gate would have been helpful as our 2 do not like a closed door.
