Kirklauchline Cottage is praised for its peaceful location, stunning views, and wildlife. Guests appreciate the comfortable accommodation, including a rare find of a bath suitable for taller individuals. The cottage is well-equipped, offering a home from home experience, and some guests received a welcome basket. While most reviews are positive, a few mention a firm bed and lack of garden for dogs.
The cottage is described as clean by guests, with one mentioning it was 'nice and clean' upon arrival. No negative comments about cleanliness suggest a high standard.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, views, and proximity to Portpatrick and Stranraer. It's described as ideal for those seeking peace and quiet while being close enough to amenities.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with mentions of a comfortable cottage and bed. However, one guest found the double bed uncomfortable, and another mentioned a preference for a softer mattress.
While guests are satisfied with the facilities, mentioning a well-equipped cottage and good shower, there is insufficient detail to accurately score maintenance. No specific maintenance issues are noted.
Thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of a welcome basket and good communication with the owner. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned by all reviewers, they should not be expected on every visit.

Quiet and peaceful. Great for locking the world away and chill. Especially liked the bath. Being 6ft 4 it's rare to find a bath to fit in. Lots of wildlife to be seen around the cottage. Everything you need for a stay is there. Port Patrick good for meals out. Would recommend.
