Guests say

Feriniquarrie Cottage on the Isle of Skye offers a tranquil setting with stunning views, well-equipped kitchen, and secure garden. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, heating, and log burner, though some note the need for updates and a deep clean. The remote location is loved by many for its peace and natural beauty.

Several reviews mention the need for a deeper clean, with specific references to food remnants, unclean windows, and dusty surfaces. However, clean bathrooms and an abundance of clean towels are noted positively.

The cottage's remote and peaceful setting with beautiful views is highly praised. Its proximity to local shops and the natural surroundings of Skye are appreciated, despite some comments on the state of nearby roads.

The property is generally found to be comfortable, with a well-secured garden for pets and a good heating system. However, suggestions for new mattresses and decluttering indicate room for improvement in comfort.

The well-equipped kitchen and log burner are highlights, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a non-working electric shower, tired windows, and the need for painting.

While guests mention a lack of welcome pack or instructions for obtaining firewood, there is no consistent reference to gifts or extra thoughtful touches, thus a score cannot be provided.

Lovely accommodation that is bigger than the photos show. Heating is great and lovely log burner too. Well equipped kitchen. Great view from lounge window - the photos on the website don't do this justice. As previous reviews - parts of the cottage are a little tired, however, everything works with no issues and we've already booked again for next year - so this shows the small issues certainly haven't put us off rebooking! We know Skye and this area very well, so are used to (and love) the remoteness. Fabulous well stocked shop in Glendale and Dunvegan further afield. There's some lovely honesty sheds still open in Nov too, some galleries/local artist places were closed for winter, so bear this in mind if visiting out of season. Lovely accommodation and great value.
