Strathlene Lodge is praised for its excellent location, offering stunning views, beach access, and proximity to local walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, and enjoy the presence of wildlife such as seals. The main concern is the unsecured garden adjacent to a busy road, which poses a risk for pets and children.

The property is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with no negative comments on cleanliness, suggesting a high standard.

The location is highly praised for its spectacular views, beachfront setting, and suitability as a base for exploring. The presence of busy roads is noted, but the overall sentiment is extremely positive.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the lodge cosy, with a few comments on dated decor. Comfort is generally rated highly.

The lodge is described as well-equipped, especially the kitchen, with all necessary appliances and essentials. The lack of a secure garden is a recurring issue, but overall facilities are well-regarded.

While guests are pleased with the facilities and equipment provided, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches, so it is not possible to score this category.

lovely house in a great spot for walks from the door and a good centre for reaching all areas.

Had a brilliant holiday. Cottage is in an excellent location for exploring the area. Beds very comfortable, views spectacular. Owner has even gone to the trouble of putting a telescope up in the bedroom. Only downside is that the garden is not secure, and the cottage is on a busy road. If you have a dog or young children that could be an issue. Would book again in the future

Strathlene Lodge was a beautiful little cottage with amazing views sat right on the beach. It was very well resourced and was perfect as a base for exploring all the local towns and villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish it had been for longer as the weather was glorious. Our only suggestion would be to make the garden secure for those visiting with dogs as the road outside is extremely busy . Would highly recommend this property and would love to return one day .
