Guests say

Allerton House Stable is a peaceful and cosy cottage set in lovely grounds, ideal for couples or solo travellers, and especially welcoming to dog owners. Guests praise its excellent location close to Jedburgh town centre and scenic walks, as well as its friendly and helpful hosts. The property is clean and well-equipped, though some found the living space compact and the bathroom layout unusual. While comfort and kitchen facilities could be improved, the cottage offers good value and a relaxing atmosphere for exploring the Borders.

Multiple guests commented on the property being clean, tidy, and well-kept, with only minor maintenance issues noted, such as shower grouting and a windowsill.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Jedburgh town centre, peaceful setting, and access to local parks and walks, making it ideal for exploring the area.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, but some mentioned discomfort with the sofa, bedroom temperature, and the challenge of stairs and bathroom layout for those with mobility concerns.

The cottage is described as well-equipped for short stays, but several guests noted limitations in the kitchen equipment and found the wet room bathroom layout inconvenient. Heating was sometimes insufficient in colder weather.

The hosts are frequently described as friendly, helpful, and responsive. While no specific mention of gifts was made, the welcoming attitude and dog-friendly approach were appreciated. Please note that any special touches are not guaranteed.

Nice location and very clean but a bit on the small side and the bathroom set up was strange - you had to walk through the shower area to get to the toilet and also the whole bathroom was constantly wet due to the condensation and it being a wet room. Bedroom was extremely hot but that was probably due to the warm weather.
