Please note: There is a covered pond in the garden.. This great detached property is ideally located to explore all that south Wales has to offer. Situated in the village of Garnant, it is just 4 miles from the town of Ammanford, 10 miles from Llandeilo and 15 miles from the coastal city of Swansea, leading to the Gower peninsula. Good walks in the area, 200 yards to join the ‘Golwg yr Aman’ river valley walk/cycleway from Brynamman to Ammanford, and 700 yards into countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The area is rich in natural wildlife and industrial heritage. There are plenty of sights to see and enjoy including the wooded Amman valley, the stunning views from ‘tro’r gwcw’ near Brynamman over to the local castle ‘Carreg Cennen’ to the north and the cascading water at Four Waterfalls Ystradfellte to the east. Or take a hike or a bike ride in Llyn Llech Owain Country Park to the west and roam the 158-acre park of woods, lakes and forest tracks. The more adventurous will also enjoy the rough mountain trails. For a great day out for the whole family, enjoy a trip to The National Show Caves Centre at Dan yr Ogof. After a busy day, return to Ty Draw to relax in the lovely enclosed garden to the rear of the property and watch the sun go down. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 700 yards.

Wow!..kitchen amazing, well equipped, and what a lovely’Welcome Package” and milk in fridge. Much more than what we expected…choice of bedroom to use and sitting rooms. Lovely and warm in the morning and evenings that we were there. Great garden, ideal to drive off to anywhere we wanted to visit. The views of the hills, valleys…superb, also peaceful even though there is a school near by. We will miss it….hopefully manage to save and book for another ten days next September 2026!Definitely worth the money… Thank You🤗

Disappointing stay from the start as when we arrived no-one had been in to clean the property and it took a couple of hours waiting around for the cleaner that did not turn up so we did it ourselves. The caretaker needs to review the procedures they have in place. Negatives on stay: 1. awful smell of damp when you step in the door and the sitting room on the left was unusable because of it.2. The house is in dire need of a decent clean because the standard is low and certain areas quite neglected.3. The front garden needs attention as overgrown and blocks out the natural light into the usable lounge.4. This is not a house created for the comfort of the guests the furniture ie leather sofa and kitchen table could be better.5. Old food from previous guests left in a cupboard which meant you were unable to store your own items in there without removing them.Positives:1. Kitchen is well equipped but i felt i had to wash everything i used. 2. Back garden is nice to sit in.Will not be returning to Ty Draw

We recently stayed at this property and had a mixed experience. The house itself is very large, with a masive garden thats great for dogs to explore. There are dog gates at the bottom of the stairs, which was a helpful touch, and a Firestick is provided for TV acces. The home has a Welsh rustic vibe, which adds some charm, but unfortunately, it felt more like an abandoned house than a holiday let. It could have been cleaner, and overall the place felt quite tired and in need of some attention. Our dog seemed especially unsettled, which added to the slightly eerie atmosphere. There is a driveway, but its very tight, so something to be mindful of if youre bringing a larger vehicle. That said, at £100 a night, its a good deal for the amount of space and the dog-friendly setup. With some updates and a bit more care, it could become a much more enjoyable and welcoming stay.
