Cockleshell's peaceful, stylish interior is the perfect relaxing space for a rural retreat, allowing you a fantastically comfortable night's sleep after a day of exploring this vastly underrated area and its natural and historic charms.
Upstairs, this property boasts 4 beautifully laid-out bedrooms, including a master double with en-suite bathroom and walk-through wardrobe, a spacious double bedroom, a twin room with woodland views, and a small bedroom with crib and blackout blinds for the baby or toddler in your group.
The guests enjoying the master double have their own en-suite shower room with WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. The family bathroom also has a large bath with central mixer taps, ready for your bubble bath with a glass of bubbles.
Downstairs, the two relaxing spaces could not be more different; the main lounge area is spacious and airy, with sunlight entering from windows on opposite sides of the property. The seats and sofa are bold in colour as well as being super comfortable, and the room feels like a vibrant space to plan adventures as well as a cosy space in the evening to wind down in front of the TV.
The snug area to the left of the large downstairs hallway, however, is a cosy, light-filled space with a front-facing window, perfect for peace to read a book, meditate on the large floor cushion, or just hide from the kids!
The sleek kitchen and dining space has cool tones of grey and turquoise throughout and is a calm, clean, communal space in which to cook on the large hob area or double wall oven and eat together on the sturdy oak dining table with seats and bench. A small utility space to the side of the property comes in handy.
This property has delightful outside spaces; at the rear of the property, a long lawned area sits neatly behind the patio, with a patio set table and six chairs nestled beneath the large navy blue parasol.
