Under Cliff Caravan is a pleasant single-storey retreat resting in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire, set close to the estuary and beach with a spacious open-plan living area and handy parking. Arrive, unload with ease, and make your way up onto the enclosed decking, where you can pause for a moment to take in the fresh coastal air before stepping inside. The heart of the caravan is the open-plan living space, where the gas central heating and electric fire help create a gentle, welcoming atmosphere after days out exploring. The kitchen area is neatly arranged for simple self-catering, allowing you to prepare favourite meals to share around the dining table, while the seating area invites you to linger over a film on the TV or chat late into the evening. Two bedrooms, a double and a twin, provide space for friends, families, or a couple travelling with children, served by a sleek shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC, plus the added convenience of a separate cloakroom. With decking offering an enclosed spot for relaxed outdoor moments, this caravan makes an appealing base.
Days can begin with an easy stroll down to the Ferryside estuary and beach, where the shifting tides and wide skies set the scene for unhurried walks. Further afield, you can head to Pembrey Country Park for expansive green space, follow the Millennium Coastal Path for far-reaching coastal views, or explore Merlin’s Hill Centre to learn more about local heritage. Family-friendly outings await at Folly Farm, while those interested in literature can seek out places linked with Dylan Thomas in the surrounding area. With so much to discover nearby, Under Cliff Caravan offers a welcoming base for enjoying South Wales.
Ferryside is a pretty coastal village with a wonderful sandy beach, a general store, cafe, Post Office and pub. Regular trains stop in the village offering easy travel to Carmarthen, Pembrey or Llanelli and many more attractions further afield. Carmarthen is a busy market town with a variety of shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. A visit to Pembrey Country Park, with its sandy beach, toboggan run and dry ski slope, is a great day out for all the family, as is a day at Merlin's Hill Centre, shrouded in mystery and rich in wildlife. There are castles, craft centres and mills galore, all in easy reach, whilst a visit to Laugharne to see Dylan Thomas' Boat House, or a day out at Oakwood Theme Park or Folly Farm, are a must.
