Really not happy because of the first night... the rest of the stay was ok afterwards.Cottages.com are awful as well. Used them for the first time to go away to Wales and ended up having an issue with the stay on the first night due to the bugs infestation at the hut... after 4 hours drive there had to find a hotel to stay that night as we gor covered in them as they were all over the place. Over 30 degrees and windows couldnt be open and only had a little fan. I dont think you can expect a customer to stay at a hut with over 30 degrees and covered in flying ants.... owner wasn't helpful at all and said that they weren't there in the morning. Communications wasn't good at all witj no answers.Payed extra to stay at the hotel and got back the next day and luckily most of of it was gone. Stayed for the rest of the time. Asked for one night refund and been told to take it with cottages.com... emailed them as apparently its the only way to deal with it and waited over 2 weeks for an answer... called to get an update and was told that there will be no refund and that its unfortunat situation and that they owner said if we would of gone out for and hour or 2 drive they would of been gone by then.... how is that even a decent answer... am I expected to stay somewhere that is infested with flying ants? Is that normal. I know it wasn't done on purpose... but also its not my fault and ive ended up paying double and stressing out paying extra to stay in a hotel nearby. The rest of the stay was ok... but the first night ruined the experience.Cottages.com have been awful in assisting with this issue and obviously are supporting the owner. I always used Booking.com and they are brilliant. Never again ill use cottages.com or the place where ive stayed due to lack of communication and understanding.I never write a bad review on anything... this is my first time.

Beautiful peaceful surroundings, very comfortable accommodation. Not much to do in the local area, need to drive further afield. Be prepared for hot tub to take a while to heat if youve never used a wood fired one
