A 10 minute drive is the market town of Narberth, famous for its award-winning chocolate shop, antique gift shops and elegant restaurants dotted around the town. Discover the country’s historic sites including Pembroke and Carew Castles along with the picturesque town of Laugharne with its 12th century castle overlooking the estuary is nearby and most famous for its links with poet Dylan Thomas. Every year, it hosts ‘The Laugharne Weekend’ celebrating art and literature. A short drive away is the coastal village of Llansteffan where you can enjoy morning walks along the beach take in the golden sands, step back in time and visit the ruined Castle dating back to the early 12th century along with the iron age earthworks still visible to this day. Had a wonderful stay at The Cow Shed which felt far more spacious than expected for a one bedroom cottage. It was so comfortable and cosy with everything we needed. Tony made us feel so welcome and looked after our every need. We will return!
