About this property

Discover this wonderful single-storey lodge, Mountain View Lodge, tucked away in the expansive Pembrokeshire countryside. Offering the ideal starting point from which to explore West Wales, Mountain View Lodge boasts a private decking with furniture and hot tub, stunning countryside views and dog-friendly living for six guests. Take the weight off your feet by sinking into the plush sofas and watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV while the designated chef of the group prepares a home-cooked meal using a fantastic range of high-quality appliances. If the weather allows, why not step outside and enjoy an alfresco affair with beautiful uninterrupted views out over the Preseli Mountains as your backdrop? After a day of exploring your stunning surroundings, indulge a soak in the hot tub or treat yourself to a warm shower before retreating to one of three splendid bedrooms, each lovingly furnished and the master with its very own en-suite cloakroom for your convenience. From your doorstep, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is within easy reach along the famous walled town of Tenby, complete with its sandy beach, cobbled streets and breathtaking harbour. The hamlet of Tavernspite is within walking distance and offers two excellent fishing lakes in addition to a garden centre, tea rooms, a pub and restaurant which offers a selection of organic produce and locally brewed ales. The Landsker Borderlands Trail is only paces away and perfect for a tranquil walk through the picturesque countryside, or if you fancy something fun-filled, spend the day at Folly Farm Zoo, or Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, sure to impress guests of all ages. Book a stay at Mountain View Lodge for a Welsh getaway you’re not likely to forget.

A little market town called Whitland is located on the River Tâf, 15 miles from Carmarthen. Aside from the Hywel Dda Gardens and Interpretive Centre, which has 6 wonderful gardens to visit, the small centre also contains a variety of tiny stores, pubs, a train station, and eating establishments. A trip to the nearby picturesque town of Narberth, with its bright Georgian homes, plethora of stores, bars, bistros, and restaurants, won't let you down. More stores, eateries, tea houses, a movie theater, a charming steam train ride, and the enigmatic Merlin's Centre may all be found in Carmarthen. The Preseli Hills nearby and the renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path nearby provide plenty of options for walkers in your group. While Heatherton Park, the fantastic Welsh Zoo as shown on TV, Folly Farm, and many other attractions are ideal for family fun days out, the sandy beaches of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire beckon for relaxing days in summer and brisk hikes in winter. One trip to this fantastic destination might not be enough because there is so much to see and do.

Lovely property, very clean & comfortable. Owners (including Baxter the dog!) very welcoming & quick to respond to queries. Treated to welsh cakes, milk & fresh eggs on arrival. Lots of thoughtful touches such as providing dog bowls & blanket. Well kept enclosed garden perfect for our dog to play in. Stunning views and great walks on the doorstep as well as many amazing places to visit within a reasonable drive. Hot tub was lovely to relax in after days out.
