Situated near Ciliau Aeron and Aberaeron, Myfanwy is perfectly positioned to explore the beauty of the Welsh coast and countryside. In Ciliau Aeron, you can take peaceful strolls through the lush Aeron Valley or visit the stunning Llanerchaeron Estate, a National Trust Georgian villa surrounded by idyllic gardens, a working farm, and scenic woodlands. There are many public bridleways and guests can bring their horses if they wish with prior arrangement with the owner.
In the picturesque harbour town of Aberaeron, just a short drive away, you’ll discover brightly painted Georgian houses lining the harbour. Enjoy freshly caught seafood at one of the excellent local restaurants or sample the town’s famous honey ice cream. Aberaeron is also a hub for coastal walks, offering paths that lead you along the breathtaking Ceredigion coastline. You can even join boat trips to spot dolphins and seals or cycle the Aeron Trail for a more active adventure. I was looking for a venue where I could just unplug and this was exactly that. Nestled in the Ceredigion countryside, away from noise and people, my cat and I had the best time. The hut is well equipped, clean and has all the basic amenities you would need.It is a small space in a remote field outside of Ciliau Aeron so naturally, you won't get all the facilities you would have in a house like microwave, iron, free WiFi, TV etc. However, what the owners have done is provided shower, toilet, sink, kitchen counter and sink, a good size bed, a wood stove. Everything is done to excellent standards. Everything is powered using solar energy which is great.There's an enclosed section within a field which means pets are safe to roam. There's an area for outdoor cooking and sitting.It is such a wonderful location with Aberaeron only 10-15min drive away. Loads of beaches on your doorstep as well as amazing locations like National Trust Llanerchaeron and Ty Glyn Davies garden.If you are looking for remoteness, peace and quiet bar the call of the countryside, this is the place for you.The owners are amazing, really welcoming and helpful.Can't wait to go back there later on this year.
