Positioned just 3 miles from the Flintshire market town of Holywell. Known as the ‘Lourdes of Wales’, the town takes its name from St. Winifred’s Well, which has been a popular place for pilgrimage since the Roman times. The well can be found within Greenfield Valley Heritage Park which runs alongside a stream. The park is also home to the ruins of the 12th-century Basingwerk Abbey and several historic mill buildings, as well as more recently recreated cottages, farmhouses, and a Victorian school. Children will also enjoy the farm museum, and there are lots of woodland walks with picnic areas and several small lakes, which are a haven for local bird life. Activities available locally include horse riding, fishing, and golf.
There are lots of attractions within easy driving distance of Pheasant Fields and discover the beautiful woodland walk adjacent to the property. The popular coastal resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre can all be reached in around 15 minutes. Families with children will enjoy Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium, which are both within a 30-minute drive. For the more adventurous, why not visit Llandegla, 40 minutes, and try mountain biking, shooting or laser combat. Other places worth visiting within half an hour are Conwy, with its historic castle, and the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno. Llangollen, Snowdonia, and Anglesey can all be reached in an hour. Across the border, the historic city of Chester, with its great shops, bars, restaurants, and racecourse, is just 30 minutes away, and Liverpool is 45 minutes. With so much to see and do right on the doorstep, this is the perfect base for a family holiday. Beach 4 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 5 minutes’ walk, restaurant 3 miles.
The lodges are in the grounds of Pheasant Fields, Ref: OW1 which sleeps 10 guests. These properties can be booked together to accommodate larger groups and families.

Our favourite UK holiday home so far! Can’t fault this place! I would definitely return and I never say that! Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The lodge was set in the most perfect place. Pictures don’t do the plot justice. The owners were so lovely, they have got this so right. Thank you so much Charlotte ☺️

Stayed in Holly Lodge and it was the best lodge I've ever stayed in, so clean, everything had been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. So peaceful there and lovely being able to see the llamas and rheas in the next field. Host was helpful and quick to reply to questions.
