A magnificent stone-built coach house, situated in a rural position in the beautiful grounds of the owner's home, just one mile from the pretty village of Gilwern. The Coach House is extremely comfortable and spacious, and offers a huge sitting room with dining area and a large open fire, as well as doors on both sides, leading to the lovely gardens and patio. Both bedrooms have exposed beams, with the master bedroom benefiting from the added bonus of a balcony with magnificent views towards Sugarloaf and Talgarth, and an en-suite shower room. Superb accommodation in a splendid setting, this is a great place for exploring the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), the medieval town of Abergavenny and the many picturesque villages of the surrounding area.
The picturesque village of Gilwern, situated amidst the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), offers visitors many amenities including traditional pubs, shops and a great fish and chip shop. Covering approximately 520 square miles, the National Park surrounds the village providing excellent walking, cycling and bird watching as well as great salmon and trout fishing on the river Usk. Abergavenny, the aptly named "Gateway to Wales" is nestled in the nearby hills and has something for everyone. With its many indoor and outdoor markets, magnificent castle and museums this medieval market town is sure to delight any visitor. Offering fantastic walks for all abilities as well as its own vineyard, the nearby mountain of Sugarloaf is well worth visiting. No matter what time of year, this wonderful little village has something in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.

It was spacious and perfect for our family of four. It is private with its own driveway and garden and yet not far from the main house. The setting was beautiful with amazing views from the front and the back of the house. We enjoyed our stay very much and we were able to relax and chill in the evenings in our private house. Star gazing through the bedroom sky windows was a delightful bonus! Thank you to the host Nicola for greeting us personally, making us feel welcome and providing what we needed during our stay. A wonderful place to stay for any length of time!

The house is very comfortable with every possible need attended to. The host is warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating. The area itself is full of things to see and do and in two week we weren't able to accomplish everything on our list! With a very good supermarket nearby we were never left for wanting on anything we needeed. We hope to visit again and soon!
