A magnificent stone-built coach house, situated in a rural position in the beautiful grounds of the owner's home, just one mile from the pretty village of Gilwern. The Coach House is extremely comfortable and spacious, and offers a huge sitting room with dining area and a large open fire, as well as doors on both sides, leading to the lovely gardens and patio. Both bedrooms have exposed beams, with the master bedroom benefiting from the added bonus of a balcony with magnificent views towards Sugarloaf and Talgarth, and an en-suite shower room. Superb accommodation in a splendid setting, this is a great place for exploring the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), the medieval town of Abergavenny and the many picturesque villages of the surrounding area.
The picturesque village of Gilwern, situated amidst the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), offers visitors many amenities including traditional pubs, shops and a great fish and chip shop. Covering approximately 520 square miles, the National Park surrounds the village providing excellent walking, cycling and bird watching as well as great salmon and trout fishing on the river Usk. Abergavenny, the aptly named "Gateway to Wales" is nestled in the nearby hills and has something for everyone. With its many indoor and outdoor markets, magnificent castle and museums this medieval market town is sure to delight any visitor. Offering fantastic walks for all abilities as well as its own vineyard, the nearby mountain of Sugarloaf is well worth visiting. No matter what time of year, this wonderful little village has something in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.

Nicola was extremely welcoming and hit the perfect balance of checking in to see if everything was ok and leaving us to our own devices. House was perfect for a family of 4 with a dog plus large enough for us to welcome 6 extra people (family who live close by) on Christmas Day itself. All in all a wonderful Christmas week.

Good for dog who enjoyed use of 5 acre fenced in field. Comfort wise sofas could do with replacing or reupholstered. More specifically aimed at Sykes as a company, I am being put off of booking through yourselves because of the quite recent addition of good housekeeping bonds on the majority of properties. A competitor of yours offers a choice between a non refundable waiver or a bond, I prefer the waiver as I am not on edge throughout my break. This does not mean Iâd leave the property in a poor state but could feel more relaxed. I donât think Iâll book any more properties through Sykes until this is addressedâ¦
