Unfortunately we found this cottage quite unclean with cobwebs everywhere and almost all the crockery and cutlery had to go through the dishwasher before we could use any. The kitchen sink was covered in stains which we cleaned using bleach and elbow grease in a few minutes showing it hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival.The 'cinema room' is very outdated and hard to see even with all the curtains shut. The bathroom was carpeted and had water stains by the shower / bath and the room had a very bad damp smell. The children's play area looks to be around 15+ years old, the wood is grey, cracked and the whole thing moved when our children were using the swings. I wasn't convinced it was safe.The fire risk assessment hasn't been reviewed since 2015 she the weekly smoke alarms check was not filled in.The good points were the size of the cottage and it's great location but overall we were very disappointed, especially after reading the previous good reviews.
