We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Tintern Abbey Cottage and it was a great base to explore the surrounding area and beyond. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. The Anchor Pub next to the Abbey serves very good food. Plenty of Castles to explore too.

We had a (mature) family break for three nights. My husband and I stayed for another three nights and left on Thursday afternoon to avoid the rush to leave by 10.00 am. After booking we were disappointed to find that we had to use an App to find instructions and communicate. We felt we were having a holiday not taking a year's lease. We all agreed that the cottage, although very comfortable etc should be 4 star as there was very little room to walk around the bed in 2 rooms. The lounge area was small for more than 4 people. My husband approved of the modern heating system.
