About this property

Providence Cottage couldn’t be more dazzling. Nestled at the edge of the forest and surrounded by the breathtaking views of the Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty, it is sure to leave its mark even before you’ve stepped out of your car. Whether you’re bringing the kids, your folks or your best buddies, there is something here for everyone! Come in through the sliding doors, where you’ll find the countryside is part of your kitchen. The unique island with its stylish Tom Dixon stools, the Gaggenau appliances, floating cabinets and exceptional lighting choices create a truly elegant living space. The Quooker tap provides instant boiling, chilled and sparkling water and the Gaggenau oven has a built-in pizza stone for delicious treats. If you've arrived in a heatwave, slide the doors closed and pop the aircon on for quick relief. Step into the lounge and enjoy a movie, the super fast Starlink internet, or open the bi-fold doors and get lost in the wonderful views. For a quiet moment, retreat to the library upstairs and light the fire; the rocking chair and a great book are sure to make the world disappear for a while. When its time for bed, the master bedroom will greet you with style and comfort. Super king size bed, walk-in wardrobe, TV and en-suite shower room. There are two more double bedrooms that enjoy the expansive views, and a twin for the kids or friends sharing. But good luck finding them all, as some of the rooms are hidden behind wardrobe doors! The family bathroom is a destination in itself, with its wrap around tiling, rainfall shower and freestanding bath, it provides the perfect space for morning world-preparation or evening wind-down. Now for the magic! Step outside through your bedroom onto the decking. Reach to your left for a fresh fig or some grapes off the vine and marvel at the sunset. A complete spa experience is just one step away, with a sauna, cold plunge and Marquis jacuzzi. And what could provide a deeper sense of calm and relaxation than the sound of running water from your own waterfall and stream, and the little birds enjoying the pond at the top. At the other end of the garden the kids will find a giant play structure with a tall slide, various swings scattered around the garden and in the green field a large football goal and plenty of space for any games their imagination will conjure! There is also a large veg patch full of ripening goodies. Feel free to help yourself to fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes or beans, or anything else you fancy for your lunch! But don't forget to turn the music on! The house and the garden are full of carefully placed or hidden speakers that will envelop you with the sound of your favourite tunes. Just connect your spotify to one, or ALL of the speakers, turn up the volume and let the party begin! When the night comes, the garden comes alive with fairy lights hidden in the trees, but the real magic is above you. So lie on the grass and marvel: Beacon Hill is a designated dark sky viewing location and you'll be able to see the stars like never before. The house is surrounded by amazing forest trails. A three minute walk up the hill you'll find the Beacon Hill car park with several paths of varying difficulty, but walking or driving in any direction you'll see countless options for walking and hiking. The Lion pub is a twenty minute walk away, and your nearest shop is in Llanishen- three minute drive. If you fancy a day out, the impressive Tintern Abbey is just a ten minute drive away. Or head to Monmouth to explore the historic Monnow Bridge, discover fascinating local history at the Shire Hall and browse the independent shops and cafés that line the town's streets.

Chepstow makes another excellent day out, home to the impressive Chepstow Castle, picturesque riverside walks along the Wye and the renowned Chepstow Racecourse. We know Providence Cottage will provide a trully unforgettable base for lasting memories with your friends and family

The beautiful village of Trellech is located in the picturesque Wye Valley, close to Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Llandogo and Tintern with its famous Abbey ruins. The village derives its name from the three standing stones, known as 'Harold's Stones', and was once one of the largest towns in Wales, hence its wonderful church. The history of the village draws many to visit the three stones as well as the Virtuous Well and the Tump Turret, a 40 foot mound which dates back to Norman times and is known to be the remains of a motte and bailey castle. Outstanding walks are enjoyed by all, whether to explore the history of the area or just take in the magnificent countryside. Pop into the village pub or enjoy a picnic along the way. The surrounding area gives you the option to explore more history at Tintern Abbey and Raglan Castle, visit beautiful Ross-on-Wye or enjoy cycle rides in this most scenic part of Wales. The South Wales coast is only 50 minutes’ away and there are easy road links to Bristol and Cardiff and all of their attractions. A perfectly peaceful location for wonderful holidays.
