Guests say

The Bungalow offers a spacious, well-equipped retreat in a stunning, secluded coastal location, perfect for large family gatherings and dog owners. Guests consistently praise the breathtaking views, proximity to the beach, and ample communal spaces. While the property is described as homely and full of character, some mention that it could benefit from additional cleaning and maintenance. The remote setting is a highlight for many, and the owner is noted for being attentive. Overall, visitors enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay, with many expressing a desire to return.

Several guests noted issues with cleanliness, such as cobwebs, dust, stained mattresses, and leftover items from previous guests. However, these concerns were not universal, and some reviews did not mention cleanliness at all. The overall impression is that cleaning standards could be improved.

The location is widely praised for its beautiful, secluded setting with stunning views over the bay and immediate access to the beach. The remote approach is mentioned as a positive by most, though the narrow lane is noted. The peacefulness and scenery are standout features.

Guests found the property spacious and comfortable, with plenty of bedrooms and living areas suitable for large groups and guests with limited mobility. Some mention tired décor and mattresses needing replacement, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The bungalow is described as very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and offers ample space for families. Some maintenance issues are noted, such as door locks, damp, and missing towels or toilet rolls, but these did not significantly detract from most guests' enjoyment.

The owner is commended for making personal contact to ensure guests' comfort, and some appreciated well-stocked cupboards. However, a welcome pack is not always provided, and gifts such as food items are not guaranteed.

Stunning views, recommended with a few tweaks! The cottage has lovely views and a wonderful veranda. We really appreciated the well stocked cupboards on arrival! The property just needs a little maintenance to be perfect: the bedroom with 4 single beds our girls slept in had the bedroom door off its hinges so lacked privacy. A few rooms needed airing out to clear some dampness and previous laundry was still on site. Also, the walk/drive to the bin location/drop off was quite steep and a heads up about the gardeners arriving would have been great for our anxious dog. Overall, a beautiful home in a gorgeous location - we’d recommend it, the above wouldn’t detract us from staying again. We have rated it as 3.5 but this option wasn’t available.

We had a great time. However the building is in need of a great deal of TLC (some damp and mould) and the mattresses need replacing. We would stay again but make some enquires as to renovation.

For a long weekend with extended family this setting was perfect. We spent childhood holidays nearby and were familiar with the coastal path and beaches. Weather remained warm so we were spoiled by having the heating on and doors open to the sun. The house is very spacious and comfortable in the best sense of a holiday home which is clearly much loved by others too. Loved the garden with its grassy trails between huge clumps of yucca, acanthus, etc
