The location is second to none, set alone on the hillside with spectacular views over the coast. The cottage is homely, with some old-fashioned touches, and less luxurious and modernised than has become the norm. Depends what you like or need. The big room in the new extension is fantastic in every way. Problems: slow-draining shower, temperamental Aga to cook on and two of the double bedrooms have little privacy. In our view, worth accepting the shortcomings for the unique location.
