This wonderfully spacious property for two is situated within easy walking distance of the centre of Betws-y-Coed with all its amenities. Originally the village Smithy, the living/dining room is flooded with light from the large windows which also provide a great view out over the Conwy Valley. This quiet location provides a fantastic place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the village. There are walks from the door up into the Gwydir Forest and around Llyn Elsi lake, or a riverside walk past the golf course and the 14th century St Michael’s Church. There are plenty of places for eating out just a short stroll away, indulge in some local culture by hearing a Welsh choir sing in St Mary’s Church, or if you need a shot of adrenaline, try the family-friendly treetop nets at Zip World Fforest – or visit Surf Snowdonia, the worlds first inland surfing lake. Beach 20 miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Smithy cottage was perfect, it was very clean and well equiped with everything you may need for a holiday in the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was of excellent quality.The views from the lounge were stunning. The Wi-fi was really good and worked perfect. A big plus was having your own designated parking space.We look forward to a return visit.

One of the best cottages we've stayed in, so comfortable and cosy. Everything you need on the doorstep, walks, shops, railway to both Llandudno and Festiniog, close to the usual tourists hotspots. Plenty of space for two upstairs and down with nice views from the large lounge windows, parking is fine but might be a tad cosy if you all have a 4X4 😁 will certainly book again .
