Sympathetically converted, it stands in 85 acres of woodland and sheep-farming land, which visitors are welcome to explore. With a bothy, camp fire site and fixed orienteering trail available on site. Walking, mountain bike trails, riding, golf and fishing locally. Sailing at Barmouth 12 miles. Shops 5 miles, pub 3 miles.

A superb tranquil location with a beautiful view and is very private. The owner was very welcoming and came to see us in person to check we had everything we needed. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped but there is no dish washer and the bedrooms are comfortable, especially the double bed. There is no wardrobe in the twin room but there is in the double and the shower is very small but the bath is a good size. My only other criticism would be that the cottage needs updating and decorating. The TV is not ‘smart’ and there is no Firestick or other device so no catch-up, Amazon, Netflix etc. is available.

Had a good time at the cottage, would recommend it, however, it was wet weather and there is a grassy slope down to the door, I did slip going down, and fell backwards, the steps can also be a touch slippery if mud on them, hand rails required.
