It is within earshot of the little steam engines on the Ffestiniog Railway as they twist and turn on the spectacular journey down to the coast at Porthmadog. Fast becoming an adrenaline junkie’s paradise, Blaenau Ffestinog offers fabulous activities such as Bounce Below where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern the size of St Paul’s Cathedral, Zipworld Titan where you can try out Europe’s largest zip wire zone, and the Stiniog Downhill Bike Trails – bring your own mountain bike! Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, there are some lovely walks from the door, with pretty Betws-y-Coed and Swallow Falls, and the peaceful Llyn Peninsula, both a short car journey away. Lovely, comfortable and clean accommodation in a quite area of the village of Blaenau Ffestiniog, great base for local walks and visiting the surrounding area. The accommodation is well equipped with everything you need. The hosts, Tex and Sue, where amazing providing a bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival and home baked Bara Brith. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Lovely get away, Tex the host was amazing and welcomed us with a bottle of wine, chocolates and treats for our dog 🐶 very thoughtful, the home is well equipped with everything you need to a high comfortable standard, we enjoyed a lot of walks, we went to the reservoir and up to the waterfall and stopped for a hot chocolate at the cafe on departure Tex also came with more amazing treats including some homemade bara brith with is delicious ❤️

A lovely stay in a great location, I highly recommend. We were visiting North Wales to visit several Zip World locations and this property was perfectly located to visit, the jacuzzi bath was a great addition especially after a long day. The host Tecwyn was lovely and popped down to give us wine and cake, which went down a treat!
