  Moon cottage was a fabulously furnished property in a wonderful location with a pretty view especially in the evening at sunset. It was decorated and furnished to a high standard with a very comfortable open planned kitchen lounge with French doors opening onto a furnished patio area with gas bbq and overlooking the manicured garden with log fired hot tub nestled in the corner providing some privacy. The two main bedrooms very comfy with one having an en-suite and large walk in shower. Both bathrooms had rain drop and manual shower heads providing excellent power. The kitchen was adequately stocked with every utensil required with a large twin door fridge freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a very well stocked games room on the upper level with a quality pool/air hockey/table tennis table, another Tv and a sofa bed providing extra sleeping space in addition to the two double rooms and single room with fixed bunk beds for children U12- all the rooms have TV’s. There is parking for 3 vehicles off road one of which is an electric hook up, enquire with host as to its usage . The property was so comfortable that we only ventured further afield to visit Dungeness and Camber Sands one day and the Mcarthur Glenn Outlet in Ashford another opting to go for long walks locally and fully utilising the hot tub. I would highly recommend Moon Cottage which gets booked up fairly quickly, having booked a year in advance ourselves

  Property booked for a family trip. 6 people in total all adult. On arrival we were left easy to follow instructions on how to enter the property. Property entered via a beautifully landscaped garden with views of farmers fields. The house sat perfectly within the scenic environment. The house itself was ideal for our family and exceeded expectations. The decoration was very apt for a modern rustic feel. The house was spotlessly clean and well kitted out for a weeks stay. There was plenty of room for the whole family to relax in the open planned lounge/kitchen diner. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dining. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. Each room also housing a TV. Our son stayed in the games room on a bed/sofa which I was concerned about pre arrival but he loved the room and the bed. My concern was his height, 6”2 but he was very comfortable. The games room was well used although I did hit my head a few times on the eaves! The hot tub was wood fired and easy to use. The owners have obviously had comfort, cleanliness and relaxation in mind. No stone has been left unturned, they’ve carefully thought about everything for a wonderful stay. The location is ideal for visits to local areas of interest. Ashford designer area is also quite close. Tesco is also close for food stops. If you enjoy walking and cycling it’s an idea spot. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

  WE LOVED STAYING IN THE OLD GRANARY AND THE STABLES - Our extended family (7 plus 2 dogs) booked this truly wonderful accommodation for the 4 days of Easter. Our hosts Rob and Bridget, were very kind and helpful. (My opening comment to them was the photos did not do the places justice..!!) We struggled to choose which of the 4 en suite bedrooms we each would have as the whole place is so wonderfully appointed and decorated... all high end appliances, furnishing and fittings. The fully walled, shared square courtyard with wisteria on the walls, shelters you from any breezes and is a wonderful warmth trap... the courtyard AND the garden is fully enclosed and totally child and dog safe... It was wonderful to go immediately on walks from immediately outside the property, the adjacent farmyard, which is concrete hard standing, is well cared and clean, and the grandchildren loved having the ponies nearby; ( for those not interested there was no noise and smell). The set up with grandparent having The Stables, which had a good sized living area which with the open plan kitchen enabled us, after agreement with the owners, to entertain some local family ... we ate our main meals together in The Old Granary A Truly Wonderful venue , which we were sad to leave..thank you once again.

  Our stay at Harbour Cottage was an absolutely smashing and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of calm and a proper cosy atmosphere. The cottage was spick and span, and all the creature comforts you could ask for were there for a really comfortable stay. The location of the cottage in Rye is brilliant, offering easy access to the town's sights and the lovely scenery around about. We particularly enjoyed being so close to the harbour and being able to potter about the old streets. The host was ever so kind and helpful and was always on hand if we needed anything during our stay. The information provided before we arrived was spot on and their tips for exploring the area were really valuable. Without a doubt, we'd recommend Harbour Cottage to anyone after a peaceful and delightful getaway in Rye. We're already looking forward to our next trip to this lovely cottage!

  This property was AMAZING! best rental I’ve ever stayed in! The house was immaculate (which is rare), beautiful grounds/setting (you need a car though), extremely helpful host and information that was left! It’s obviously been recently refurbished and every touch was just gorgeous, the beds were super comfortable! The bunk beds are quite small but they did the job! We’re already wondering when we can go back! Only slight criticism is the bathroom door is broken (we didn’t alert the host at the time, I’m sure they’d have rectified it if we did) and if you shut the door you got locked in - this needs to be fixed. Also, the hot tub is wood fire and we tried for hours to get it warm and kept the fire going but it didn’t heat up, maybe it’s due to the weather being too cold for this to work. Overall, couldn’t recommend this place more! Thanks so much for such an amazing place to stay for a weekend!
