What our customers say about their holidays

We had a fantastic time at Atlantic Lodge.
There were fabulous views from the lounge and the pod especially, but it as great to sea the sea from the kitchen as well. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for cooking - all mod cons, with a great fridge freezer, modern cooker/hob and plenty of storage/work space. The house is well positioned for getting to the beaches and for walking. We enjoyed walking straight from the house and also driving around. In the evenings we sat on the beaches - the weather was very kind to us. The beds were comfortable as were the seats - maybe more are needed for eight people, we were only five, but could only sit four comfortably. The television has a large, clear screen, but we didnât watch it much as there were too many other things to do! We ate out twice in the village - good meals, but expensive when beer is £9.95 a can! Our one BIG criticism is the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils, cutlery and cooking pans. Some of these were actually very dirty and had obviously not been washed since the last occupants, maybe longer. In a time of pandemic this is just not good enough. SUCH a shame because we would definitely like to come back after such a brilliant time in a beautiful place.

Well what can I say.
This caravan is a the top of the park and is on the steepest roadway I have seen. Totally unsuitable for the elderly or families with small children. The gas was empty so having spoken to the owner I was directed to get the site maintenance to check it out. They did so and replaced the gas bottles. I also asked them to look at the TV in the living room that wasnât picking up the sat channels and they couldnât fathom out the problem. The owner said that I must have been pressing the wrong buttons. I think there were other issues that she is not owning up to. The caravan is a bit small. Ok for a you family I suppose but no good for us. The Wi-Fi was chargeable from the site, not mentioned in the Ad. About £6 a day for anything usable. There was a good power shower and the decking was fully enclosed so safe for our small dog. All in All, for us a total waist of money. We left after one night and the owner blamed us for our concerns.

Vine Cottage, East Prawle is utterly delightful in every way.
In the age of continuous feedback and requests for such I'm seemingly bombarded with organisations asking for me to rate them, their products and services. In this case I'm happy to tell you that this cottage exceeded my expectations, no small accomplishment. Perhaps because the owners 'live' in the property on occasion, possibly as they are extremely thoughtful, in all aspects you find what you need. For example, all of the knives are sharp, the sofa and chairs can be sat on comfortably, the garden can be enjoyably sat in, the great pub is just 2 minutes walk away but not so near noise is an issue, a fabulous walk (Prawle Point) is on your doorstep and does not require you to get into your car. My wife and I, with our dog, had the most wonderful holiday, helped in no small part by fabulous late summer weather, in South Devon. A beautiful part of the world, and a lovely cottage. Lovely.

Excellent location and accommodation with lovely views over the bay and along the coast.
This is the best self-catering holiday home we've ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable and the home was extremely well equipped with more kitchen crockery, cutlery and utensils than in my own kitchen. There are games and books to keep you amused and there's a good, large wall mounted television. You can hear the sea, it's that close to the beach. In fact at low tide there are two beaches within a few minutes walking distance, two at high tide. The south west coast path can be seen from the home. That too is within a few minutes walking distance. You can eat outdoors at the table on the terrace while enjoying the wonderful sea view. It's a land and sea scape photographer's paradise and the sunsets are spectacular. This would not be a suitable holiday home for anyone with mobility problems because there's quite a long, steep path up and down to the beach.

I stayed at Vine Cottage for a fortnight and it was a real home from home.
It was quiet, cosy and comfortable and the garden was a lovely place to relax on sunny days. East Prawle is in a great location for walking. The coast path is only a mile away, and thereâs some great dog friendly beaches to explore within walking distance. I only really needed to use the car to go to the farm shop for supplies. Be warned though - wherever you walk to there is a very big hill to climb up to get back to the village! Thereâs a great little cafe in the village for coffees and ice creams and the village shop has the essentials if you run out of something. I would take groceries with you or get a delivery soon after you arrive as the nearest supermarket is in Kingsbridge which isnât far but takes a while on single track lanes. I loved the cottage and the location and would definitely go back.
